It has been found that few woman attribute changes in their skin to the menopause when in fact the impact of fluctuating hormone levels on the skin is noticeable and causes some women to start experiencing problems with their skin that they have never had to worry about before. Another product that is being used more often in skin care is hyaluronic acid. This product is great at restoring moisture to the skin leaving it feeling smoother and firmer. It can be found in lots of skin creams and is being increasingly offered during facial treatments in beauty salons.

One of the biggest issues when thinking about skin care is the damaging effects of the sun. The chances are that skin damage has already occurred over the years when it was not regarded as a problem but now people are aware of the dangers regarding ultraviolet light and cancer it is so important to protect the skin from further damage. All daily face creams should have a SPF factor of at least 15 and higher if the skin tone is paler. It should be applied before going out into the sun along with avoiding having the sun on the face at midday which can be achieved by wearing a wide brimmed hat.
