Haircare is one of the most common queried beauty searches made on Google and it’s not that surprising to be honest. We’ve chosen to write about one of our favourite ways to strengthen hair – applying coconut oil.

Coconut oil isn’t only good for strengthening your hair, but it’s also good for making your hair glow and look shinier. It’s also probably one of the cheapest treatments out there, with telling results. It’s recommended that you apply coconut oil in your hair and leave it in there for 15 minutes, whilst having your hair covered with a shower cap. After which you wash it out as normal and you’re done. Do this twice a week and we almost guarantee your hair will feel and look much healthier.

Trying to take care of your hair by doing everything on your own can sometimes backfire. You either don’t get the hairstyle that you want or worse you do damage to your hair instead. With that said, it’s very important that you seek the help of hair care professionals because they are considered experts in their fields and they know what’s best for your hair. In short, they know what they are doing. Now, before you choose which hair care professional will work on your hair, there are certain things that you need to take into account. It’s worth reiterating here that not all hairstylists offer the same services. You need to make sure that you end up hiring the most appropriate one.

1) What exactly is it that you want? Is there a particular hairstyle that you want to have? Maybe you wish to change the overall color of your hair. Or have your straight hair curled or the other way around. In any case, you need to be fully aware of what you really want before you get the services of a hair care professional. Yes we know that hairspray is there to be used for style purposes, but here are a few other ways you can use that can.

Pet hair is a massive annoyance, especially when it’s left behind on furniture. Well you can use hairspray to try and get rid of this problem, by spraying a tissue with some hairspray and running over the offending areas. You should see that the pet hair sticks to the tissue, problem solved!

We hate insects flying about in the house, and it’s even worse when there’s no bug spray available. Well you can use hairspray too! Plus it’s not as toxic and smells better! Say bye to those pesky moths and daddy-long-legs!

Vans Classics have announced their return for the holiday season with their brand new Van Doren collection. Vans have dug back into their archive for three prints – Geo-Native, Geo-Tribe and a skull pattern. Each print has been put on either a Vans Slip-On or Vans Authentic silhouette.

They all look very good, but the price makes it a no-brainer with an RRP of $50. UK price hasn’t been announced yet, but we predict the shoes to retail for around £45. Our favourite of the three is the Vans Authentic silhouette with the Geo-Native design. With a mixture of blue, red and cream, they are definite head-turners.
