Pharrell Releases Adidas Stan Smith Collaboration

Posted on September 18, 2014 at 10:54 am

Music extraordinaire and fashion guru, Pharrell Williams has finally released information on his collaboration with Adidas and their Stan Smith line.

The first release of shoes come from the “Solid Pack”, with the shoes available in a variety of colours and a monochromatic look. Pharrell has replaced the three stripe look on the back of the shoe with his own version and the insole also includes a special design bearing his name.

If you’re a fan of low-cut footwear, then we would highly recommend these. Of all the colours the red are the most eye-catching and definitely would look the nicest with an all black ensemble.

Posted on May 16, 2014 at 4:12 pm

Yes, you may think that you are reading that wrong. I assure you, you didnt. Apparently this unique synergy has been on the cards for quite a while now and stories and images are finally starting to surface and finally been announced.

Vans is still staying true to its signature style, synonymous with classic Cali style uniqueness and a focal point of class. In this collection they have taken careful consideration in to the integration of both the brands and characteristics from the multi-million dollar franchise.

Star-wars and Vans have given some of your favourite characters modifications that you may not have thought worked but do. Interweaving elements of the classic apparel, paisley print, floral designs and contrasting colours the two parties have forged an  alluring assimilation of garments.

There will be a large run of the clothing and sneakers made, however the “Vault by Vans” range within the Star Wars collection will only be in a limited run of 300. Opening ceremonies are happening soon so watch this space for updates on how to get a hold of this collection.

New Air Jordan XX9’s announced

Posted on April 28, 2014 at 10:23 am

Since Michael Jordan has played basketball he has been a signature figure in sport. Not only as a phenomenal athlete but as a style icon in terms of his variety and practical trainers.

The Air Jordan XX9 trainers will be the 29th instalment of the Air Jordan Legacy since the franchise began and since the release of the XX8’s in Feb 2012.

Designer Tinker Hatfield has taken his inspirations to fulfil the design brief from motorcycles to fighter jets. Taking into account four key components of interior comfort, exterior abrasion, support and structure, Tinker Hatfield and his design team have developed the shoe for performance and comfort. What makes the XX9’s special is the integration of the Flyknit performance material and the Flight Plate technology, in what is being called a “Tailored for Flight” ethos.

The official release date has been set to September 2014 but have not been given a RRP as of yet. Judging by the XX8’s they are looking at around $250.

The Return of the Roller Neck

Posted on February 26, 2014 at 10:46 am

It’ fair to say that it has been a while since roller neck t-shirts and jumpers were leading the way in high street stores, and it could be a trend that’s revisited thoroughly this year – for men and women.

Roller necks are ideal for the chilly months, and as we’ve still got plenty of cold weather to put up with a roller neck can be idea. It’s a big change from the low cut tops that have been in fashion in recent years, and it is still seen as a bold move to wear a roller neck, but many celebrities are beginning to brave it out.

Former TOWIE man Mark Wright has been spotted in a roller neck, and others may opt to follow suit. Roller necks featured in London Fashion week, and they could be a popular addition throughout the course of the year but as always only time will tell.

Are Flat Caps Back

Posted on January 16, 2014 at 7:24 pm

Flat caps have certainly come and gone over the last decade, but it seems as though they’re set to return. Brad Pitt has recently been spotted wearing a flat cap, the type that Del Boy wore often in the famous British sitcom Only Fools and Horses.

Many middle aged male celebrities are happy to wear a flat cap, and it may just be part of the 2014 style. A flat cap can give a man a traditional style, and in the UK, the hat tends to be related to the countryside and farming.

Wearing a flat Cap with hoody or jogging bottoms just won’t work, but if a gentleman is sporting a tweed jacket, or a smart shirt and jeans, the look can really come to life, and it can actually be rather classy. We expect to see the flat cap return in 2014, and while prices are relatively low, it could be beneficial to buy yours now.
