Buying clothes out of season

Posted on March 31, 2016 at 7:57 pm

If you want to get a really bargain when clothes shopping then the best time to get them is when there out of season. For example, if you want shorts and swim wear you may find it is reduced at the end of summer and you can then get it ready for next year.

This is also handy if you are going on a holiday abroad during the UK winter months as you can get your holiday items at slashed prices.

Some people worry about trends changing the following season but ideally you should buy clothing that you like and that fits you well, so you do not have to worry if fashions change slightly.

Online shopping can also be a great way to save money especially if you have time to shop around and compare prices with other retailers and also search for voucher codes to work, which can offer you free delivery or money off.

Buying hair extensions

Posted on November 30, 2015 at 12:15 am

Buying hair extensions can be a nightmare especially if you have multi-coloured hair. If you have highlights and / or lowlights, finding an exactly colour match can be virtually impossible. Not only do you have to consider the hair colour but you need to decide if you want a one piece clip in or multiple piece clip in and if you want synthetic or human hair.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both, but if you want to be able to style e.g. straighten / curl the hair, then you may want to go for human hair. These can be a little more expensive but tend to last longer.

If you are buying online then colour matching is even harder as you have to go off the pictures provided and unfortunately the colours don’t look like they do on the picture. Ideally use a retailer that someone you know has used before and if at all possible send them a picture of your hair for them to colour match for you.

Grabbing a bargain whilst shopping

Posted on May 29, 2015 at 8:19 pm

With money often tight for many family’s, we are all looking for ways to save money but still have the nice things we want. Clothing can be expensive but often it is essential to buy a new garment for an interview for example.

When I go in to a shop the first thing I do is browse the sales rail. Often I can find something suitable that is half the price of some of the full priced items that are very similar. You can also shop at places that are cheaper and although the quality may not be as good, if you are paying half the price you can only expect it to last half as long.

Charity shops are also a great way to pick up a bargain with many of the items often still in great condition or sometimes even still new with tags on, if you have never been to one, why not pop in next time you are in town and see if you can grab yourself a bargain.

People Camp In London For Yeezy Boost’s

Posted on February 24, 2015 at 2:43 pm

The fashion world has been at a standstill since Musician turned Fashion designer Kanye West unveiled his new creations, the ‘Yeezy Boost 750’ with German sportswear brand Adidas.

Since then there has been a lot of hype surrounding release with the first 9,000 pairs sold within a minute in New York. It’s now turn for the release in Europe, with the sneakers scheduled for a release on the 28th of February. Although it’s a few days a way, this hasn’t stopped sneaker enthusiasts from camping outside one of the outlets which will be selling the shoe – Adidas UK in London.

Unfortunately for the few who dedicated their times to camping in the streets for the holy grail of sneakers, the shoes will be sold via a raffle method and not first-come-first-served. Basically meaning that the campers have wasted 48 hours of their time for no reason. If you’re looking to purchase the shoe, get yourselves down to Adidas UK (London), before Friday to enter the raffle. Good luck!

Vans Classics For The Holiday Season

Posted on October 29, 2014 at 4:14 pm

Vans Classics have announced their return for the holiday season with their brand new Van Doren collection. Vans have dug back into their archive for three prints – Geo-Native, Geo-Tribe and a skull pattern. Each print has been put on either a Vans Slip-On or Vans Authentic silhouette.

They all look very good, but the price makes it a no-brainer with an RRP of $50. UK price hasn’t been announced yet, but we predict the shoes to retail for around £45. Our favourite of the three is the Vans Authentic silhouette with the Geo-Native design. With a mixture of blue, red and cream, they are definite head-turners.
