Is it worth spending that much on your skin care range?

Posted on February 3, 2021 at 12:18 pm

When it comes to choosing skin care products, the market is flooded with choice. It may be that you always stick to the same brand or maybe you haven’t found one that suits you yet and just tend to buy what’s ok offer.

There is a massive price difference between skin care products. For example, you can pick up a day moisturiser for as little as a pound or can spend hundreds of pounds on one! Is it really worth spending all that extra money on a face cream? Some people swear by their expensive skin care range, saying that it has taken years off them, whereas others say they really cannot tell much of a difference.

There are some manufacturers that make creams that do use a better quality of ingredients and have maybe done more research to find out what is good for your skin, but whether that is worth paying hundreds for is another matter. Often when a celebrity endorses a face cream or beauty product, it is not just the face cream that has given them a youthful look, they may of even had cosmetic surgery. Think carefully before breaking the bank to splash out on that moisturiser.

Recent boom in second hand clothing sale

Posted on January 29, 2021 at 8:32 am

Places such as eBay and Shpock have seen a rise in the number of listings and sales of second hand clothing. This boom seems to be linked to the lockdowns and restrictions put in place following the Covid outbreak. Many more people are at home and finally may have the time to search through their clothing and get rid of any unwanted items. It may be that they are struggling with money and want to make a bit of extra cash or that they need the space. These sites usually allow for a fairly hassle free way of selling and because you can post items out to people, there is very little risk of spreading the virus.

The increase in sales is again linked to the pandemic with people having time to look online and maybe not wanting to splash out as much on new items of clothing. Instead, they can still get their shopping fix but at a fraction of the price. Charity shops had to limit the amount of stock they took in after the first lockdown as many simply didn’t have the room to store all the items in quarantine for a few days before they could safely handle them.
