Many women and some men take great pride in their hair. They like their hair to look good as often this makes them feel good. With the use of hairdryers, straighteners and colouring it is very easy for the hair to become quickly damaged and you can often see tell-tale signs of his such as split ends and dry, straw like hair.
If your hair is not in great condition then there are many products available to buy that promise to give your hair that glossy, well looked after look. Intensive hair conditioning treatments are a great way to get instant results. After shampooing your hair, apply a thick layer of the conditioner and allow it to remain on your hair for 5-10 mins (read the label to see what is advised for the product you are using). After this you can wash it off and then once dry you should see a noticeable difference. You may have to try a number of treatments to find the one that works for you.

Face masks have been around for years and there is a huge variety of them available. They can be made from a number of ingredients and it is also quite easy to make your own face mask.
They can be a great way to freshen up your skin and return that glow to your face. They work by removing the impurities from the skin and drawing them to the surface. These then get remove when the mask either gets peeled off or washed off.
Some people swear by face masks and ideally you should use one once a week. Always do a patch test before using any new beauty product as you may not know that you are allergic to something in it until it is too late. Reactions to beauty products can be awful and can take a little while to disappear so I would never recommend using a new product right before you intend to head out to a big event.

With money often tight for many family’s, we are all looking for ways to save money but still have the nice things we want. Clothing can be expensive but often it is essential to buy a new garment for an interview for example.
When I go in to a shop the first thing I do is browse the sales rail. Often I can find something suitable that is half the price of some of the full priced items that are very similar. You can also shop at places that are cheaper and although the quality may not be as good, if you are paying half the price you can only expect it to last half as long.
Charity shops are also a great way to pick up a bargain with many of the items often still in great condition or sometimes even still new with tags on, if you have never been to one, why not pop in next time you are in town and see if you can grab yourself a bargain.

Hairspray, as I remember it, was always sticky, strong smelling and only seemed to make hair stick in to clumps. Over the years, haircare specialists have realised that the old hairspray were just not up to the job and since then hundreds of new products have flooded the market.
There are so many different types of hairsprays now, it can be hard to know which one is right for you. Below is a quick guide to two of the most popular ones.
Flexible hold – this will hold the hair in place but is normally a light spray that still allows you hair to move. This can be great for people that want to beat the flyaway look but do not want their style to be too ridged.
Firm hold – this is more of a fix hairspray. This is ideal if you have your hair up in a style that you need it to stay exactly where it is. Theses sprays normally last quite a while even in damp conditions.

If your little one’s Christening is coming up, you’ll be looking to choose the right outfit. Whether you’re looking for something contemporary or a traditional Christening dress, there’s options to suit any child and to match your own tastes, too. Your little boy or girl will look beautiful on their big day, and the right gown can be passed down through your family for generations to come.
What colour should the dress be?
If you’re looking for a classic traditional gown for a Church ceremony, you’ll want a white dress. In the Christian faith, white symbolises purity and the new life born into the Church. Going for a more modern naming ceremony rather than a religious rite? You can choose from a wide range of colours for the outfit: pink and blue are common choices for baby girls and boys. If you’re worried about putting white on a baby, ivory is very similar while being more forgiving when it comes to stains. (more…)
